We have made a small video to give you a better feel for a place that is very popular and increasingly being written about and talked about – Jiyugaoka Bakeshop. Here you can get delicious food and wonderful service in a very relaxing and cosmopolitan atmosphere. It is open for lunch and dinner. Direct influences are from New York and Alsace, though these are not the only ones; as to why and how these influences manifest themselves, perhaps you can discover this from our video, but to be sure, you may wish to visit sometime soon.
La Blanche
La Blanche is a cosy and homely French restaurant, which was opened in 1986. Lunch and dinner are both served from a set menu. Black pork rillette served with bread is a stand-out dish, and the chef’s speciality is sardine cooked in layers with potato, which looks like a terrine. The saltiness of the bacon wrapped around it complements the flavour, and we recommend ordering sardine potage with it. There is a refreshing star anise sorbet served between dishes.
